Our Story
Jordyn's Promise LLC was founded by Zach and Asher Lutz in honor of their daughter, Jordyn, who was born at just 26 weeks gestation. Weighing only 2 pounds and 1 ounce at birth, Jordyn’s entry into the world was nothing short of a miracle. She spent 107 long days in the Trinity Health NICU, where Zach and Asher witnessed firsthand the immense challenges that families face during such a difficult and uncertain time.
Throughout those 107 days, Zach and Asher felt the overwhelming emotional and physical toll that a NICU journey can take—not only on their child but on the entire family. While they were grateful for the excellent medical care Jordyn received, they quickly realized that there were very few resources available to support NICU families, especially those living in the Midwest. The emotional strain, the constant uncertainty, and the isolation that many families face during a NICU stay can be incredibly difficult to navigate without the right support systems in place.
Zach and Asher decided to turn their experience into something good, something that could help others going through the same struggles. They knew they weren’t alone in feeling lost, overwhelmed, and uncertain about the future, and they wanted to do something to make sure no other family would have to face this journey without the positivity they so desperately needed.
Thus, Jordyn’s Promise was born. This nonprofit organization was created with the mission to provide support, resources, and hope to families in the NICU. Zach and Asher’s goal is to extend the care to families who find themselves in situations similar to theirs. They want to be there for families every step of the way, offering emotional support, practical resources, and a sense of community.
Having walked through the heartache of a NICU stay themselves, Zach and Asher understand how vital it is to have people who truly care, who understand what you're going through, and who can offer guidance when you feel lost. Through Jordyn’s Promise, they hope to make the NICU journey a little easier for others by providing not just items for the children, but also support for the families who need it most.
Jordyn’s Promise is more than just an organization—it’s a commitment to make a difference in the lives of families during one of the most challenging times of their lives. Through this nonprofit, Zach and Asher are sharing their own story of strength, hope, and resilience, and are dedicated to helping other families find the same hope they did, no matter how difficult the road ahead may seem.
